First the bad news..my iPod has a cracked screen, so I can't do anything but press play and hope that it's not the 2-hour podcast on the banking crisis I mistakenly downloaded..

..but in every cloud a silver lining, right? I luckily got the first track of Abdullah Ibrahim's "Cape Town Flowers" on when I hit "play"..what a treat to hear this whole album again! All original piano-trio set, full of stories. Tonight I'll try and pull out his "Anthem for the New Nation", recorded in the 70s here in Japan for the Denon label, then get some info up on the blog about it.
