The B Flat in Akasaka is a great straight-ahead jazz club in an area without many other options for good music. There is a healthy mix of acts on the schedule, with only the occasional smooth-jazz vocalist fouling things up for us jazz snobs. Best thing about the B Flat is that unlike some other clubs in town that will remain nameless (the Blue Note), once you enter you can stay for both of the evening's sets. It's also one of the more spacious clubs in town.
