Jazz Haus Posy was opened in 1973 by jazz fanatic Misa. She's a serious enough fan to have traveled all around the world to various jazz festivals, as can be seen by the numerous signed albums and photos on the wall of the bar. (I'll have to remember to ask her next time..how does the owner of a small jazz bar afford to fly round the world 3 times a year to jazz festivals..?)

It's small place that is a wonderful oasis of jazz relaxation after the crowds and noise of Shimo-Kitazawa. Lots of pics and comments on her favorite jazz artists on the website (Japanese only, but you'll recognize the labels and some photos);check them out and definitely drop by for a drink next time you are in town.
