How can I describe this place?

Directions: 
The Golden Gai is a maze of streets, but Shiramuren is easy to find. Enter the Golden Gai by taking the little tree-lined path next to Mr. Donut, on Yasukuni-dori. At the entrance to GG, go around the right, back side of the ￥500 bar, then the second street on the right side. You`ll see the sign that's in the photo above.

Jikan Ryokou (the sign is in Japanese 時間旅行, it means "Time Travel") is simply wonderful. It's a tiny 12-seat joint in the back streets of Nakano, an area full of small drinking dens.

Directions: 
Turn right out of the South Exit, walk along the tracks right past the Smile Hotel. Look to your left after the Smile Hotel, you'll see the sign.

Stardust

Stardust is an old bar, first opened in Asagaya in 1971 by the very chatty Masuda Junko-san. It's been at its current spot for about fifteen years and has a steady regular customer base.

Directions: 
no map! Take the north exit then go left alongside the elevated train tracks. At the end of the road, about 2 mins walk, turn right and go around the corner. Stardust is on the left.
